This interactive features a series of figures highlighting the race and gender callback disparities among major US employers. The data reveals that companies receiving the lowest grades are estimated to favor white applicants over Black applicants by 24%. In contrast, those rated the highest show a much smaller bias, favoring white candidates by only 3%.
Drawing on data from an economic working paper, this interactive tool demonstrates how welfare in Chicago could be enhanced by implementing minimal charges for public transit, increasing train frequency, and decreasing frequency of buses. Road pricing can reduce environmental externalities, but it only benefits travelers if the revenues are used for transit subsidies and rebates.
